Mascaro Safety Culture Mascaro understands the importance of preventing accidents and injuries. Accident prevention and loss control are core values in Mascaro’s business philosophy and safety is an integral part of all operations. We recognize that our people are our most valuable resource. Their safety is of principle concern at all levels of management. Every responsible effort is made by Mascaro to maintain a safe and proactive workplace for our employees, subcontractors, clients, their employees and the public. Mascaro has instituted various safety policies and programs that, in many cases, exceed applicable local, state and federal requirements for jobsite safety, including OSHA. In addition, Mascaro has created a work environment in which all employees are aware of the importance of safety and are encouraged to actively participate in making their working conditions safer and more productive.
As a testament to our commitment to safety, Mascaro was invited to participate in the Master Builders Association (MBA), Pittsburgh Building and Construction Trades, and the Pittsburgh OSHA’s “Construction Industry Partnership Program” that recognizes contractors with the best safety programs and accident rates in the industry. Mascaro is also an active member of the MBA and Pittsburgh Building Trades Drug Free Partnership Program; as such, all Mascaro jobsites are designated as "Drug Free Workplaces." Every employee is encouraged to take an active part in the prevention of accidents. Every level of Mascaro’s project team has specific safety responsibilities and is held accountable for implementing project safety programs on their projects. Alternatively, employees are recognized and rewarded for proactive safety behaviors and accident-free projects. |
