Project Details
The existing helipad and second floor level access walkway at the southern loading dock was relocated to the rooftop of the Mercy Hospital Tower building to accommodate construction of the new UPMC Mercy Pavilion. The new landing pad constructed atop an elevated structure platform included a new support building for receiving incoming patients, extension of two elevator hoistways with stretcher sized elevator cabs to the roof top level, and construction of new access and egress stairs.
