In order to keep on schedule, and with the harsh New York winter approaching, the project team worked with the subcontractors to get the building sealed in so that interior work could continue. Our plan utilized the permanent mechanical system for our temporary heat. A state of the art wireless monitoring system was integrated into the mechanical equipment. This temporary system could be monitored over the internet or by whomever was connected via a PDA phone. At any time the MEP coordinator and the mechanical foremen could be notified of any problem in lieu of having a mechanical tech on site monitoring the system 24/7.
