Project Details

Significant highway improvements were needed along an approximate 3.8-mile stretch on northbound Route 28 to ease congestion and mobility. Work included bridge reconstruction/rehabilitation, wall construction, roadway reconstruction/widening, drainage, guide rail, concrete barrier, curb, landscaping, highway lighting, signing and pavement marking, signals, and other miscellaneous construction.

  • 30,000 cubic yards of concrete
  • 30,000 cubic yards of structural backfill and subbase
  • 2,700 tons structural steel and bearing pile components
  • 11 span bridge reconstruction
  • Six span bridge reconstruction
  • Three span bridge reconstruction
  • 20,000 square feet soildier pile wall
